Our Mission

Know Jesus | Grow in Jesus | Show Jesus | Go for Jesus

Our mission is to lead people to a knowledge of Jesus Christ and His love, to come alongside them as they grow in their understanding of Him, give them opportunities to show Him in their communities, and train them to go and make disciples. This will be done through Sunday services, midweek classes, Connect Groups throughout the city, and training classes for those who feel the call to join the mission on a deeper level.

What We Believe

THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is true in all that it teaches. As the flawless Word of God, it is our only authority for what we believe and how we live. 2 Timothy 3:16

GOD
We believe in one God who is the creator and sustainer of all things. He has revealed Himself to mankind as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit) in the New Testament Church. Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:16

SALVATION
We believe that all men and women are born with a sinful nature in need of a savior. Salvation is a free gift that cannot be earned but is given by grace through active faith. We live out our faith by repentance, baptism in Jesus Name, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

THE CHURCH
We believe that God is love. Because of His love, we are empowered to love others as He first loved us. We are commissioned to serve others, share the Gospel, and be Christ-like. We are constantly striving to activate the Fruits of the Spirit which are evidence of a life fully committed to Christ.

Todd & Anne Baumann

Senior Pastors

Todd and Anne are founders and senior pastors of The Way Church. Todd and Anne were married in 1995 and served as youth pastor and Sunday school director at their local church. In 2002 they began pastoring in Worthington, MN, where they planted a multicultural and bilingual church. In 2018 they answered the call to become church planters in Boston, MA. Todd and Anne both attended Apostolic Bible Institute and studied theology. Anne also studied Elementary Education at Minnesota West. For twenty years, Todd and Anne have dedicated themselves to seeing lives restored. They have taught marriage seminars, men's and women's conferences, mentoring classes for youth and have set up classes for family growth and restoration.

Matt & Joleen Halstrom

Associate Pastors

Matt is a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church, International. He and his wife Joleen moved to Boston in 2020 to begin planting churches throughout the city. Together they have ministered in marriage and family ministries, children's ministry, worship ministries and men's and ladies' ministries. Together, with their five children, they hope to help plant campuses across the Boston Metro.
